No there is no age limitation when learning to fly. However, a realistic age expectation is at least 14 years old, because you need to be able to reach the rudder pedals and see over the dashboard of the aircraft. You must be 15 years old for your first solo. Students over 40 years old also have a shorter time of validity with your medical certificate, up to 24 months. A valid medical certificate is mandatory to fly solo, sit for your flight tests. There are different levels of medical certificates required to carry more than one passenger such as Class 1, 2, Basic 2 and RAMPC.
