How long does it take to become a Pilot?

All pilot training courses are competency-based. The cost to obtain a licence is solely dependent on how well you demonstrate competent performance consistently to your flight instructors.

Everyone’s learning experience is different and the table below is an estimation of time required for each licence(s):

25 Hrs of aeronautical experience in total which consists of 2 Hrs of instrument time and 5 Hrs as pilot-in command (PIC)

40 Hrs of aeronautical experience in total which consists of 2 Hrs of instrument time, 5 Hrs of solo cross country flight time and 10 Hrs as PIC

25+ Hrs (in addition to the RPL Hrs)

200 Hrs of aeronautical experience in total which consists of 10 Hrs instrument time, 20 Hrs solo cross country flight time and 100 Hrs as PIC
